was a little miserable during the days over the weekend, so I idled the engine. It – as usual – couldn't keep up with 95+ temps, but it made the days less miserable. The high speed internet available from Cummins made it worth while, though. That was just plain nice. I managed to catch up on just about everything.
I called Danny at about 13:00 to see about getting another truck. Sitting here is costing the company additional money, costing them money they aren't earning, and costing ME money. He beat me to the punch. I don't know if it was acting or managementese, but he sounded a bit pissed that May had left me here for 5 days.
He called me back in about 10 minutes with a replacement truck parked in Peyette. Now they are working on getting me a ride.
Ride showed up at about 22:00 (another driver, had to finish his 10 before he could come get me) and hauled me back to Peyette. Took a while to find the truck because I'd written the number down wrong. I'm now in 4253 – another 379 LongNose! Woot!
Urk! Tether on the key is too short! Can't start the truck.
