August 29 - Northbound and down..

August 28 – not even 09:00 and temp over 100. May needs my updated physical info.. I have a load, they just need to update their computers so I can go.

OK, all is well, for now. I'm on the way.

Directions to Ocean Spray are concise and accurate. Arrived a bit early, but they put me in a door and started loading me pretty much immediately. Took 2 hours to load me, and I was off to the scales.

Woof!! 79,880 pounds gross. Not a lot of room for wiggles there.

Heading west on 95. About 30 miles or so west of Las Vegas, some poor slob rolled an 18 wheeler. Got one photo. Will see how it looks later.

Man, I hate this little point/shoot camera. Pic is more of a wreck than the wreck and it's not even my fault.

Not sure, but I think turn signals are illegal in Las Vegas. Only seen one type of driver use them – and that's an out of state driver. Other than that, drivers aren't much different from most any other city I've been in. Not as rude as Salt Lake City, but not as polite as Seattle or Sacramento.

Got as far as Wadsworth, NV before I called it quits. Only about 45 minutes left to drive in, anyway. Rest area on I-80 is convenient. Put in about 450 miles today. If memory serves, that leaves about 500 for tomorrow.

Temp outside is much more reasonable than it was in LV. Mid to low 60s. Yeah, I can groove on that!
