After 3 days home time, back at the terminal. If I'd called like I said I would, I'd have had a load this morning at 05:00. As it is, I gotta hang around and wait.
Noon – got a load. Dog food going to SLC. I bundle up, PTI, and drive a whole 2 miles from the terminal to the shipper. Dropped my trailer and spent a good 20 minutes locating my load. It was hidden behind a Werner truck who was picking up HIS load.
Got it and heading out. Scaled at the TA in Commerce City first. 45500 pounds on the BOL. Overall I'm at 77.3K. No worries. I'm pleased – I moved the tandems and picked an arbitrary hole – and hit it dead on. There's about 175 pounds difference between drives and trailer tandems.
I gloat
Arrived SLC and drop trailer exactly at midnight. Send in my notes to night dispatch, and transflow my paperwork for the past week.
